Get your certificate

Your results will be sent to you within approximately 2 weeks from the day you take your test.

You will receive an e-mail with a link to an online digital safe (no paper certificate will be issued).

Here you can download your results certificate.

This certificate is an official document that you can present to the relevant Canadian authorities as part of your administrative procedures.

Results are valid for two years.

Each certificate is detailed and personalized with your photo and signature.

For each test, it specifies:

  • the number of points obtained,
  • the level achieved,
  • a description of your current skills in general French.

How do I send my results to the IRCC's online portal?

To complete your results on your IRCC online profile, you must use the scores in the “Old score equivalence” column on your results certificate.

Please note:

The language proficiency test results form or certificate number is the number at the bottom left of your certificate.

The NIP is the second part of the certificate number, after the hyphen.

If I want to take the test again, can I re-register right away?

You can take the TEF Canada as many times as you like.

Please note that there is a 30-day waiting period between two successive tests.

What should I do if I have not received my certificate?

The certificate is sent to you by e-mail.

Be sure to check your pourriels / junk / spam mailboxes, where the e-mail can sometimes be found.

Your main contact for obtaining your results remains your test center. It will be the first to know when these are available.
